Jess Huetteman is a soprano and voice teacher based in Providence, RI. As a professional chorister, Jess has performed with Ensemble Altera, Collegium Ancora, Lilith Vocal Ensemble, and The Union Ensemble. She serves as a Staff Singer at Grace Episcopal Church in Providence and regularly sings at other churches throughout Rhode Island. Equally comfortable as a soloist, Jess’s recent solo engagements include performances of James Whitbourn’s Annelies with The Assabet Valley Mastersingers (2026) and The Providence Singers (2025). This season, Jess will join Judith Lynn Stillman & Friends for Echoes of Remembrance and Resilience, featuring original music by Judith Lynn Stillman. She is also featured on Ensemble Altera’s new album, The Four Elements, which was released on October 16, 2026 with PENTATONE Records and received a 5-star rating from BBC Music Magazine.

In addition to performing, Jess is an Adjunct Faculty member at Providence College and Rhode Island College, where she teaches Applied Voice, Yoga for Voice, and Sight-Singing/Ear-Training. She also maintains a small private voice studio. Jess is a member of the RI Chapter of NATS, where she served as Board Secretary from 2022-2026, and she has appeared as a Teaching Artist for the South Shore Children’s Chorus Summer Choral Intensive and Quintessence Summer Choral Festival. Jess holds a M.M. in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College and a B.A. in Music and Psychology from UMass Amherst.
